  2. The Huron Farmworkers Ministry NEEDS YOUR HELP!
    Last year (2022) we received an amazing support from all our Huron Community and were able to collect over a hundred bags with clothes which were in an amazing condition. We also received a variety of other contributions such as bicycles, toiletries, kitchen utensils, bedding, food and many more.
    This year (2023) we continue to assist our Farmworkers providing the equal services as last year and we are planning in expanding our services to two different locations, Tillsonburg and Burford. We are seeking donations of men’s clothing such as pants, sweaters, hoodies, t-Shirts, warm jackets, shoes, gloves, baseball caps, team shirts, toques, Bicycle. Preferred sizes are small to large in clean, ready to wear condition.

  12. The Brotherhood of Anglican Churhmen (BAC) had a very successful Conference & Annual Meeting last Saturday. The Annual Report and a group photo are on the home page of the BAC website: http://bac.diohuron.org
    We are delighted to welcome Fr. Brendon Bedford as our new Diocesan Chaplain and Rev’d Jordan Murray as our incoming Treasurer.  Dennis Cartier is taking a much deserved rest. We were also saddened to learn of the passing of Paul Cavers, St. George’s, London, on April 18.  He was the Diocesan President in 2015 & 2016.  His funeral service is at St. George’s Church, 227 Wharncliffe Rd. N. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2.

  2. Church Goes to the Movies: A screening of the movie musical GODSPELL, Sunday, April 30, 1:30 PM at the Princess Twin Cinema (46 King St. N., Waterloo). Join in the exuberance of the Easter season with this unique take on the Gospel According to Matthew, with music inspired by the hymnal of the American Episcopal Church. Arrive anytime after 1:00 PM to gather and visit the concession stand. After the film we'll have time to share some responses to the film, and then to chat informally in the lobby or gallery. This is a FREE event presented by St. Andrew's in Kitchener, with donations welcome to help offset the cost of the theatre rental and film rights.   3. St. James' Church Ingersoll is pleased to announce a very special evening - dinner and concert with legendary Canadian Country Music Hall inductee Marie Botrell.
    Marie will sing many of her hits from her successful recording career. She will also perform well known songs from both the country and pop charts and more.
    This outstanding dinner concert will be held one night only – Friday April 28. Cocktails at 6:00; Dinner at 6:30; Marie Botrell Show at 7:30pm. Tickets for the evening are $55.00 and the venue is the Unifor Local 88 Hall on Victoria Street in Ingersoll.

  • Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church in Exeter, Ontario, Canada is looking for an accomplished Organist or Pianist to work with its small choir, to participate in (and/or lead) mid-week rehearsals, and to provide music for weekly Sunday morning services, as well as occasional other services (Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday etc.)  The Church Musician will be required to provide music for occasional weddings and funerals as needed, or to seek a suitable replacement if they are unavailable for those services.   Hours and remuneration to be negotiated.  This position includes 5 paid weeks of vacation annually, as well as a car allowance if a commute is involved, and an opportunity to participate in a pension plan.
