We look forward to your guidance over the next few month until we can find a new Pastor.
Short Bio of Ross & Julia Gill:
Rev'd Ross' first parish was in the diocese of Athasbasca, northern Alberta, in the community of Fort Vermilion, ten hours north of Edmonton. He served there for 3 years. The rest of his ministry has been in the Diocese of Huron.
Rev'd Julia & Rev'd Ross are both graduates of Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, and served in team ministry (sharing one position between them) for many years. Their first parish was St Paul's, Princeton; Christ Church, Oxford Centre; and St John', Eastwood (close to Woodstock, Ontario). Their second parish was St Paul's, Palmerston and Christ Church, Listowel, then they served together at Holy Trinity, Kitchener. In 2010 Rev'd Julia moved to the parish of St Columba, Waterloo, while Rev'd Ross remained at Holy Trinity, Kitchener.
Rev'd Ross retired from Holy Trinity in 2018. Rev'd Julia retired from St Columba in 2019.
Ross grew up in London, Ontario and Julia on a dairy farm northeast of Gananoque, Ontario. Julia's mother still lives on the family farm.
They have one son, John, married to Adrienne. Both are elementary teachers and are expecting their first child in the middle of September.
Ross has done some interim ministry at St Thomas and St Luke prior to the appointment of Rev'd Steve Greene. Both Rev'd Ross and Rev'd Julia are looking forward to meeting everyone.
